Our Mission
The ZT Systems Manufacturing Union Interest Site exists to advocate for the rights, safety, and fair treatment of workers in tech manufacturing. Recent events — including a large-scale reduction in the assembly workforce and suspected unlawful terminations — have made it clear that real change is needed.
Our mission is to organize and empower workers to demand accountability, safe working conditions, and a voice in the decisions that affect our jobs and lives. Poor communication across management, unsafe work environments, and unclear expectations have left many workers unsupported and unheard.
We aim to establish a union that fights for:
- Protection from unfair and unlawful firings
- Safe and well-maintained working conditions
- Clear job descriptions and training systems that set employees up for success
- Fair compensation that reflects the value we bring — and matches industry standards
- Conversion of high-performing contractors to full-time roles in a timely and consistent manner
- Respectful handling of workplace injuries, recognizing people — not just statistics
- Direct support for grievances without having to rely on HR alone
